Job Shadowing

Job Shadowing is a program at Claysburg-Kimmel that allows juniors and seniors the opportunity to go in to a work place and witness the day to day activities. In essence "shadow" a professional. This gives the students a mentor to which he or she can associate with. This shadowing experience gives the student an opportunity to get a close up look at how skills learned in school are vital to the necessities of the work place. This also gives them a chance to see what a professional does on a day to day basis. This experience enables the student to have a hands on experience of which they may ask questions, and even participate in some of the days activities.

Juniors and Seniors will be excused for 2 enrichment experiences each year;  either 2 job shadowing experience; 2 college visits or one of each. Students need to fill out the following form (also available in the guidance office), obtain the necessary signatures and return to the attendance office the next day for the experience to be excused.
