  Elementary Playground

If you’ve visited our Elementary School in recent days, you may have noticed that we are missing a piece of playground equipment.

This piece of equipment was original when the school was opened in 1992.

A recent inspection found that the climbing structure was no longer safe for our students and it was immediately removed.

We are working on a replacement.  Watch this page for updates!

American Farmers

“The Claysburg-Kimmel School District is pleased to announce that it was recently awarded a grant in the amount of $10,000 through the Monsanto Fund’s America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education program.  The Grow Rural Education program allows local farmers to nominate their local public school districts for grants to help enhance STEM education. Once nominated, school districts write and submit applications to compete for grants to help fund projects that enhance their STEM curriculum.  Claysburg-Kimmel was nominated by residents Barry Barnes and John Burket, and the administration wrote the grant application to expand the Makerspace at the high school. With the award, Claysburg-Kimmel will be able to expand the Makerspace through course placement and flexible, individualized learning opportunities. It will add new, interactive technology to immerse students in a challenging and rigorous environment.  The Claysburg-Kimmel School District wishes to thank Mr. Barnes and Mr. Burket for their nominations!
